Hands on projects are the way to get thing done!
This time it was a group effort by our members and members of the Mendocino High School Interact Club. We planted rhododendrons, Douglas irises and pollinator beds, taking care to create water wells under the Rhodies.
Donna Schuler provided the plants, Dean Watson provided compost, Matthew O’Halloran provided tools and much-needed muscle. Mike Sandys, John Cottle and Jeff Stubbs helped with digging. We used every tool available and added eight bags of the super compost from the Mendocino Garden Shop. Chip mulch to be will be added as the final touch and we will be done with this phase of the planting.
C’mon rain!
